Let’s Get Fired Up!

As I’m sure all are aware, this week we celebrated the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr.  Countless events happened on campus pontificating the importance of being active in our attempt to help others, lest we get nowhere.  Well here I go!  My friend shared this link with me and now I’ve decided to re-share it here.  It started as a site to help end animal abuse but it’s grown significantly to include other noble causes, including links and venues to help Haiti.  All you do is click the button and your click is counted towards a charity.  It’s totally free, takes about .5 seconds of your time, and gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling inside.

Here’s the link, ladies and gents: http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com/clickToGive/home.faces?siteId=3&link=ctg_ars_home_from_ths_home_sitenav

A wonderful thing happened to me today … well not so wonderful, I made a fool of myself in a restaurant (just ask my roommates) but it gave be a great idea for a story!!  Will work on that when I finish the ecology paper I have yet to begin. BLEAGH!!!

So wish me luck, cheer me on, and click to do a good deed.  A cheer from the cheerleaders at my brother’s eighth grade basketball game comes to mind: “We’re fired up and ready! We’re fired up and ready! Lets! Get! FIRED UP!” Just look at MLK. He wants YOU!
